A job seeker was scammed by a fake law firm, Friel, McCord & Smiley Law Firm, LLC, after being offered a high-paying Legal Assistant position. The scam involved a virtual interview, written assessment, and a fraudulent job offer, followed by a request for banking information to receive a check for office equipment. The actual law firm confirmed they had no HR manager named Wallace Chin or any such job opening.
