Chinese infant admitted to ICU for toxicity after being fed vegetable juice formula
A three-month-old infant in China was admitted to an ICU after being fed baby milk formula prepared with vegetable juice, causing symptoms like purple discoloration of the skin and breathing difficulties. The parents reported the symptoms appeared shortly after the baby consumed the milk, and he was treated at Zhongshan Women and Children’s Hospital in Guangdong province.
