Beijing planning more surveys east of Taiwan to assert sovereignty, state media reports

Beijing plans to conduct routine maritime surveys east of Taiwan to assert sovereignty, following talks between Japan and the Philippines. State media reported that China is diversifying its claims in the region through military drills, coastguard patrols, and natural resource surveys.
