US-Iran peace talks to begin, after Tehran closed Strait of Hormuz
US and Iran are set to begin peace talks in Switzerland after Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, citing Israeli strikes in Lebanon as a breach of a preliminary ceasefire agreed between the US and Israel. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that approaching vessels risk security threats in the strait.
