Young man disappears while paddleboarding, Coast Guard suspends search

A young man disappeared while paddleboarding along Turnagain Arm in Alaska, prompting a multi-agency search that was suspended by the Coast Guard on Saturday. The U.S. Coast Guard, Girdwood Fire Department, Alaska State Troopers, and Alaska Dive Search, Rescue and Recovery Team participated in the search, which continued through the night and into Saturday before being called off. The case is now a missing persons investigation led by Alaska State Troopers.
