Maintenance, tests to be done on Nashville’s tornado warning sirens

Nashville’s Office of Emergency Management will conduct annual preventative maintenance and growl tests on the city’s 113 tornado warning sirens from June 23 through July 31. Tests will last about 20 seconds and are canceled during severe weather. The system aims to alert people in outdoor areas during tornado warnings.
