NYPD cop shoots suspect attempting to flee in stolen vehicle, officials say

An NYPD officer shot a suspect driving a stolen silver Kia Sportage after the driver reversed into multiple officers and an unmarked police vehicle during a pursuit in the Bronx. The suspect, who has a history of 19 felonies including a recent arrest for shooting another man, was hospitalized in stable condition, as were the officers involved.
