Malaysian airline reduces fares after drop in jet fuel prices
Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia X reduced fares by 5 percent on 15 June as jet fuel prices declined, with plans to continue adjusting ticket prices as fuel costs drop further. The US-Iran memorandum of understanding contributed to a significant decrease in fuel prices, which fell from $242 to $112 a barrel in Singapore, though remaining above pre-conflict levels of around $80 a barrel.
