The rise of identity politics

Éric Zemmour, a French writer and presidential candidate, met with Trump administration officials and argues that identity politics, not economic issues, are central to current political tensions. He ran for president in 2022 as a right-wing alternative to the National Rally, advocating against immigration, Islam, and globalization, and plans to run again in 2024 under the Reconquête party.
