Elephants’ transfer to Japan sparks Malaysia’s corruption inquiry
Three elephants transferred from Malaysia to Japan are central to a corruption investigation in Malaysia over uncollected funds linked to the move. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has opened a formal inquiry into the transfer of the elephants from Zoo Taiping to Tennoji Zoo.
