Ex-hospital director opens China’s only school for HIV-positive children to provide shelter

Guo Xiaoping, a former hospital director in northern China, established an educational facility for HIV-positive children in 2004 after noticing their lack of schooling. The initiative, China’s only school for such children, began in a hospital ward converted into a classroom.
