Europe suffers under record heatwave as temperatures forecast to reach 44C

Europe is experiencing a record-breaking heatwave with temperatures reaching 44°C, causing disruptions to rail services, schools, and sports events. Three elderly deaths in France have been partly attributed to the extreme heat, as 49 French departments issued life-threatening red alerts.
