China targets US rare earth miners as Pentagon faces restocking rush

China added two US rare earth miners, MP Materials and USA Rare Earth, to its export control list alongside eight technology companies in response to the US Department of Defence blacklisting Chinese businesses linked to the People’s Liberation Army. The move restricts these companies from purchasing Chinese exports with dual civilian and military applications.
