CAG flags Kerala’s borrowing predicament
The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) highlighted that 86% of Kerala's ₹3.22 lakh crore borrowings in 2024-25 were used to repay previous debts, with 9% allocated to revenue expenditure and ₹17,188.42 crore to net capital expenditure.
