‘He deserves to be in jail’: Suspect charged, victim recovering after Aventura softball bat attack

Roberto Araujo, 41, was arrested after allegedly attacking William Rodriguez with a metal softball bat during an adult game in Aventura. The victim sustained head injuries and was hospitalized, while Araujo fled the scene before being identified through a license plate number provided by Ana Diaz Matthews, Rodriguez's aunt. He faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
