Federal judge blocks Trump policy that allows immigration court arrests
A federal judge in California vacated the Trump administration’s policies that expanded arrests at immigration courthouses and allowed noncitizens to be detained in short-term facilities for up to 72 hours. The judge ruled the actions of ICE and another government agency were 'arbitrary and capricious'.
