17 GOP AGs sue California over single-use plastics law

Seventeen Republican attorneys general, led by Nebraska's Mike Hilgers and the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, sued California over its Plastics Act. The law requires plastic packaging producers to reduce single-use plastics by 25% and ensure all packaging is recyclable or compostable by 2032. Plaintiffs argue the law violates the Commerce Clause and will raise consumer costs nationwide.
