He wants to build CA’s biggest data center, and he’s not backing down
A developer plans to build California’s largest data center in Imperial County, facing opposition from local officials, a lawsuit from the city of Imperial, and a proposed ballot measure to ban new data centers. The project, which could create 100 jobs and generate $28.7 million in annual tax revenue, has triggered a 45-day moratorium and new regulatory proposals by Senator Steve Padilla.
