Longtime Eric Adams ally Frank Carone indicted on federal bribery charges

Frank Carone, a former official in New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ administration, was indicted on federal bribery charges for allegedly accepting payments from Chinese nationals to direct a multimillion-dollar migrant shelter contract to a Queens hotel. The indictment accuses him and his brother Anthony Carone, along with Crystal Chen and Yan Po Zhu, of a scheme involving $120,000 in bribes and $6.8 million in city funds.
