Pilot hurt after airplane runs off runway in Western North Carolina
A pilot was injured after a Piper PA-22 airplane ran off the runway during takeoff at Foothills Regional Airport in Morganton, North Carolina, on June 24. The single-engine plane veered into a ditch, and the pilot-in-training sustained no injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
