Man, 41, accused of sexually abusing girl, 6, in Chatham

A 41-year-old man named James Spencer is accused of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl in the Chatham neighborhood. He was charged with a felony count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13 and arrested in the 6600 block of South Perry Avenue. A detention hearing is scheduled for Thursday at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
