TN police narrow search area for source of stray bullet that killed man last July 4th

Tennessee police have narrowed the search area for the origin of a stray bullet that killed John Cobb at Twin Creeks Marina on July 4, 2025. An additional bullet was found at the marina, and investigators believe both bullets were fired from a 7.62x39 or 7.62x54R caliber weapon, possibly originating from nearby subdivisions. Cobb died days after being struck in the back of the head, and his organs were donated.
