Trump advances $700 million jet engine sale to Turkey
The Trump administration has formally notified Congress of its intention to sell over $700 million worth of jet engines to Turkey. The move faces objections from some US lawmakers due to Turkey's possession of Russian defense systems acquired in 2019 and is seen as a gesture ahead of the NATO summit and meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
