IPS school board approves Cold Spring School’s bid to be an innovation charter school

The Indianapolis Public Schools board approved Cold Spring School's bid to become an innovation charter school, reversing a previous decision. The board also approved two new innovation schools, Global Prep Academy's second campus and Monarca Academy high school, with changes effective for one year due to contract renewals. Cold Spring will gain additional state funding and take over student services from IPS, while IPS will save over $800,000 annually.
