Gomal Zam hydropower station restored to full capacity after eight years
The Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has restored the Gomal Zam Hydropower Station to full capacity (17.4 MW) after eight years of partial operation, enhancing electricity supply in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A Rs359.5 million rehabilitation project completed in 80 days enabled both units to resume operation, increasing renewable energy output and reducing reliance on imported fuels.
