Cause of death revealed for beloved Hawaiian monk seal

Hawaiian monk seal RH32, also known as Ka'ale, died on May 6 from toxoplasmosis, an infection caused by a parasite spread through contact with contaminated cat feces. Toxoplasmosis is a leading threat to Hawaiian monk seals.
