OpenAI launches limited release of new model in US only
OpenAI launched a US-only limited preview of its GPT-5.6 AI model series to a select group of partners at the US government's request. The release follows the government's order for Anthropic to restrict foreign access to its models over national security concerns. The GPT-5.6 series includes three models: Sol, Terra (a cheaper mid-range option), and Luna.
