Helping Venezuela: State Department deploys Miami-Dade search-and-rescue team

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's search-and-rescue team, including Florida Task Force 1 with 80 specialists, was activated by the U.S. State Department to assist in Venezuela following two earthquakes. The team includes canine units and experts in technical search, medical care, and structural evaluation, joining prior deployments from Los Angeles and Virginia.
