Braves place Robert Suarez on IL with right elbow inflammation
The Atlanta Braves placed right-hander Robert Suarez on the 15-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation, backdated to June 23. Right-hander Hurston Waldrep was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace Suarez. Waldrep, previously sidelined by loose bodies in his right elbow, is expected to serve as a bulk reliever in Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants.
