Mexico’s exports jump 25% in May, pushing 2026 trade surplus past US $5.7 billion
Mexico's exports grew by 25.4% year-on-year in May 2026, reaching $69.54 billion, driven by 25.6% growth in non-oil exports and 18% in oil exports. The trade surplus for the month was $2.26 billion, contributing to a cumulative surplus of $5.77 billion for January-May 2026, up from $918 million in the same period in 2025.
