Snow and ice on Swiss glaciers melting at alarming rate amid heatwave, expert says
Swiss glaciers are losing snow and ice accumulated last winter at an alarming rate due to a heatwave, with the remaining snow expected to melt by Monday. This marks the second-earliest 'glacier loss day' on record, according to the head of Glacier Monitoring in Switzerland (Glamos).
