Southgate police officer shoots, kills shoplifting suspect in Meijer parking lot

A Southgate police officer shot and killed a man in a Meijer parking lot after he allegedly used a knife during a confrontation over a shoplifting incident. The female suspect was arrested, and the officer involved is on administrative leave pending an investigation by Michigan State Police.
