Nvidia is quietly staffing up around its AI ambitions in outer space
Nvidia is hiring system and software architects for its Space-1 project, an AI computing system designed for space. The project uses Nvidia's Vera Rubin AI chip platform and aims to address constraints on Earth's land, power, and cooling. CEO Jensen Huang noted that while current economics for space computing are poor, they are expected to improve over time.
