British American Tobacco to slash 9,000 jobs as it turns to AI
British American Tobacco (BAT) will cut 9,000 jobs, including 5,500 layoffs and outsourcing 3,500, to reduce costs and become more 'technology enabled.' The company, one of the world's largest tobacco groups, aims to restructure its 47,000-strong workforce.
