Rio Agrees to Share Its River as São Paulo’s Reservoirs Run Low
Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo states have agreed to a three-state accord allowing São Paulo to draw more water from the Paraíba do Sul river as its reservoirs run low. The river basin's largest share lies in Rio de Janeiro state.
