As one Australian Army brigade bulks up with armor, its fuel and ammo needs spike
The Australian Army’s 3rd Brigade is undergoing rapid modernization with new armored vehicles, increasing fuel consumption from 40,000 to 300,000 liters daily and expanding personnel from 3,200 to 4,000. New equipment includes M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tanks, Hanwha AS9 Huntsman howitzers, and Rheinmetall Boxer vehicles, alongside drones and unmanned ground systems for logistics and minefield operations.
