Demining of Strait of Hormuz to be carried out only by Iran, deputy foreign minister says
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that demining of the Strait of Hormuz will be carried out solely by Iran, as per the Islamabad MoU between Tehran and Washington. This follows French President Macron's comments about France and Oman collaborating on mine clearance in the region, which Iran opposes as 'provocations.'
