More than half of social media child safety features aren’t working, per report

A report by the Cybersafety Research Center found that over half of youth safety features on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube do not function as advertised or are inaccessible to children. Only 35 of 86 tested features met criteria for effectiveness and usability, with companies disputing the findings.
