Prime suspect: Australia sues Amazon over ‘unfair’ streaming ad terms
Australia’s competition regulator sued Amazon Australia, alleging its Prime Video contracts contained unfair terms allowing ads to be added without subscriber consent. The ACCC claims over 1 million annual subscribers were negatively affected between November 2023 and August 2025.
