PM Shehbaz directs major overhaul of agriculture sector

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the restructuring of the Ministry of National Food Security and the formulation of a National Agriculture Policy in consultation with provinces. He also ordered the establishment of an agriculture apex forum, a nationwide awareness campaign for the Zarkhez Agricultural Loan Programme, and the transformation of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council into a center of excellence.
