College Point teen, 13, killed while riding on scooter in Flushing: NYPD

A 13-year-old College Point boy was killed after falling off a scooter and being struck by a truck while avoiding an open door of a parked vehicle in Flushing. The scooter operator, another 13-year-old, and the drivers of the parked car and truck remained unharmed, with no arrests reported.
