Firebomb attacks in northern Greek city target residences of governing party members
Three pre-dawn firebomb attacks in Thessaloniki, Greece, targeted residences of members of the governing New Democracy party, injuring five people. The attacks used crude explosive devices made with camping gas canisters, with the last incident causing vehicle fires and burns to a parliamentary candidate and her mother. Similar attacks by militant groups against political figures or authority symbols have occurred previously in Greece.
