West Hollywood gears up to use drones in policing later this summer

West Hollywood will launch a pilot program in July to use drones as first responders in policing, partnering with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The program, the first of its kind, faced delays due to policy conflicts but now has exceptions allowing it to proceed with recording procedures compliant with county guidelines.
