Two shot, one fatally in predawn River North attack

A 30-year-old man was fatally shot and a 65-year-old man was wounded in a predawn attack on North State Street in River North. Both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where the 30-year-old was pronounced dead. Chicago police are investigating the incident.
