Red teamers turned Claude Desktop into a double agent to do their evil bidding

Pentera Labs' red teamers compromised a developer's AI agent via the Claude Desktop app, achieving remote code execution on the victim's machine. The attack exploited a compromised email inbox and Claude Desktop's sync feature to manipulate the AI assistant into executing malicious commands.
