What’s the scam here? Someone took a ‘bunch’ of photos of me, but no photos were on my iPhone

A user in Barcelona had three men take photos of them using a professional camera and an iPhone, but later found no photos on their phone. The men also AirDropped photos immediately, but the user suspects a scam due to missing photos and potential Gmail access.
