Summer Storms

Summer storms brought frequent lightning and heavy downpours to south and central Florida, with over 600 lightning strikes recorded. Storms initially moved westward but shifted east, crossing I-95. Additional rain is expected Thursday, with significant rainfall projected in western metro areas and the Everglades. The unsettled weather is linked to a distant Low Pressure area and an old remnant Front.
