Residents, visitors flock to waterfront as PLA navy ships sail into Hong Kong

Residents and tourists gathered at Hong Kong’s harbourfronts to welcome two People’s Liberation Army (PLA) naval vessels, the guided-missile destroyer Nanning and the guided-missile frigate Hengyang, during a five-day port call. The ships arrived at Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks on Thursday, with the Hengyang’s arrival accompanied by celebratory music from a PLA band.
