Balogun gets US’s go-ahead goal against Bosnia and then red card

Folarin Balogun scored the go-ahead goal for the United States against Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 45th minute of the World Cup round of 32 match but was later sent off with a red card for fouling Tarik Muharemovic. The red card, upheld after video review, will prevent Balogun from playing in the team’s next match against Belgium. His goal marked his third of the tournament, tying Landon Donovan’s 2010 World Cup record.
