Longtime Nashville Labor Leader Vonda McDaniel Dies at 60

Vonda McDaniel, president of the Central Labor Council of Nashville and Middle Tennessee since 2013, died at 60. She was involved in founding labor initiatives like Stand Up Nashville and the Nashville Justice League and recently became co-executive director of the Highlander Research and Education Center.
